These three high-profile homicide cases occurred under Najib Razak's leadership. Dato' Seri Najib Tun Razak, a former Malaysian prime minister, was recently given a 12-year prison term and fined RM 210 million for breach of trust, misuse of power, and money laundering of RM42 million from SRC International Sdn Bhd (SRC), a 1MDB affiliate.
Let us break down the three most famous homicide cases that are unsolved to this day. This article is not pointing fingers at who is behind these homicides, but rather just to get the info out there.
1. Altantuya Shaariibuu
At the time, Najib Razak's political advisor Razak Baginda had Altantuya Shaariibuu as his lover, translator, and model. Unfortunately, this woman was shot in the head before having her body destroyed by a C4 bomb. On October 18, 2006, when Najib Razak was still serving as deputy prime minister, the incident took place.

This killing was carried out by two Special Action Unit police officers who at the time were assigned as Najib Razak's bodyguards and claimed to have received direct orders from him to kill Altantuya.
According to sources, Abdul Razak arranged for the Malaysian Ministry of Defense to purchase two French Scorpene-class submarines in 2002 for US$1.1 billion. Altantuya allegedly requested US$500,000 to be silent regarding bribery in the transaction, which has led to speculation that this is what caused his death.
From death row in Kajang Prison, convicted murderer Azilah Hadri has made a shocking claim: Najib Abdul Razak and his close ally, Abdul Razak Baginda, gave the order to assassinate Altantuya Shaariibuu.
He stated that by finally acknowledging that he and Sirul Azhar Umar killed the Mongolian national, he was only carrying out a clear "shoot to kill" command as a member of the police's elite Special Action Force (UTK).
2. Shaharuddin Ibrahim Datuk
When Najib Razak was the prime minister, Datuk Shaharuddin Ibrahim served as the deputy director general of Malaysian Customs. However, Shaharuddin, who was 58 years old at the time, began working as usual on April 26, 2013, just one year before retiring. At eight in the morning, his chauffeur picked him up from his Dengkil house and drove him to Putrajaya, where he works.

The car stopped at the red light and a motorcycle stopped right beside the car. The hitchhiker fired three bullets, which were audible. Shaharuddin slumped to the ground and sat back down as the motorcycle rider drove away from the incident.
After being startled by the incident, the motorist sped into the Putrajaya Hospital while his head was still oozing blood from a gunshot wound. Shaharuddin was declared dead shortly after the physician finished his care for him.
Days following the shooting, rumours abounded in news reports as police worked to continue their investigation and look for the hitman responsible for the murder. One of them was that the highest ranking officer had assaulted a drug trafficker who was connected to Gang 36, a secret society gang. According to Shaharuddin's family, a Langkawi-based luxury automobile smuggling organisation was allegedly behind his demise.
3. Kevin Morais
Datuk Anthony Kevin Morais is the MACC's and the Attorney General's Department's Deputy Head of the Trial and Appeal Division. He passed away in a tragic way at the age of 55. On September 16, 2015, his body was discovered covered in cement in a barrel at Jalan Subang 3, Taman Subang Mewah, USJ 1.

The seventh suspect in the murder of Deputy Public Prosecutor Datuk Anthony Kevin Morais testified before the High Court in this city on Tuesday that former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak gave him RM3.5 million to confess to the crime.
The offer was made through a prisons officer, according to S. Ravi Chandaran, 47, who also informed the court that he also received a similar proposal from Datuk Richard Morais, the younger brother of Kevin Morais.
The accused further informed the court that Dr Kunaseegaran had offered him RM1.5 million in December 2017, for a total reward of RM7 million if he admitted guilt.
