WHAT promises to be a truly Malaysian Indian concert is set to rock Johor Baru this November, with three legendary Malaysian performers on the same stage for the first time.
Return of the Legends marks the return to the big stage for Yogi B & Natchatra, Brahma Kashmir Stone and Lock Up with Mista G. The concert will take place on November 26 at the Pasir Gudang Indoor Stadium.
Concert promoter Pitch Perfect is organising the event, which will be the first major live concert in Johor Baru since the lifting of pandemic related restrictions.
With the return of concerts to Kuala Lumpur, Pitch Perfect felt it was time for those outside the capital to enjoy some entertainment of their own.

Yogi B is regarded as the godfather of Tamil Hip Hop, with his debut album with Poetic Ammo, It’s A Nice Day to be Alive released in 1998, with a track in Tamil called Vallavan. After handpicking Dr Burn and Emcee Jesz and forming Natchatra in 2006, Yogi B released a full-fledged Tamil hip hop album aptly named Vallavan in honour of that groundbreaking first single. Yogi B & Natchatra and the album Vallavan went on to become a worldwide phenomenon.

When Malaysian entertainers in the Indian market were mostly doing cover songs from India, Lock Up was formed by Augustine Amaladass and carried a distinct Malaysian flavour to their music. Close to 30 years later, Lock Up is a multi-platinum & multi-award-winning Malaysian Indian band.

Kashmir Stone has been part of the rock music scene since the mid-90s, and are probably the biggest and only Tamil rock band since the 90s to capture the attention of listeners from different ethnicities. Each band member can play more than one instrument and through this combined talent, they are able to create their distinct sound.
“This is the first time in history that these 3 artiste groups are uniting to perform on the same stage.
“All 3 artiste groups are multiple award winners, have sold albums in the hundreds of thousands, and have millions of views on YouTube. They have performed the world over to millions of fans and all their smash hits are still being played on mainstream radio as well as events all over.
“It will be 100% Malaysian. Malaysian organiser. Malaysian artistes. Malaysian venue,” said Mogethen Gowrisan, managing director of Pitch Perfect.
