Kota Kinabalu: The State Government through the State Education Fund (TPNS) will be channelling RM10,000 to more than 30 schools affected by the recent floods.

State Education Exco Datuk Mohd Arifin Mohd Arif said they are in Beaufort, Membakut, Keningau, Tenom and one in the East Coast identified for repairs and cleaning.

“TPNS has also approved more than RM600,000 worth of one-off aid applications for 141 Sabah students from the matriculation level up to PhD to enable them to further their studies,” said Arifin, who is State Science, Technology and Innovation (KSTI) Minister.

He was met after witnessing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing between SabahNet and Theta Telecoms at the SICC on Thursday which aimed to form a strategic collaboration in realising the ambitions set forth by Jalinan Digital Negara (Jendela) Phase 2.
