
SANDAKAN: Some 300 participants took part in the 5km Soar Fun Run organised by the Sandakan Association of Rehabilitation (Soar).
It was held for the first time in collaboration with the Rehabilitation Department of the Duchess of Kent Hospital at the Sandakan Sports Complex, here, Saturday.
Sandakan MP Vivian Wong Shir Yee, who officiated at the event, said it could promote running as one of the healthy lifestyles and increase the fitness level of the community.
Meanwhile, Richard said the programme also promotes the role of the hospital’s rehabilitation department to the public who are still unaware of the services available.

Soar was established at the end of last year, and this is their first running programme.
