Police remand 33 Selangor FC fans after commotion on a drawbridge ahead of a Super League match against Terengganu FC in Kuala Terengganu.

KUALA TERENGGANU: Thirty-three Selangor FC supporters have been remanded to assist in the investigation into a commotion at a drawbridge.

The remand order was granted at the Kuala Terengganu Magistrate’s Court today.

The incident occurred at about 6.30pm yesterday ahead of the Super League match between Terengganu FC and Selangor FC.

The match was scheduled at the Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium in Kuala Nerus.

Kuala Terengganu district police chief ACP Azli Mohd Noor said they were among some 400 supporters detained last night.

Those detained were brought to the district police headquarters for urine screening.

Azli said Terengganu police chief Datuk Mohd Khairi Khairuddin would hold a press conference on the case at 2.30 pm.

Earlier, videos showing a group of Selangor FC supporters marching with flags went viral.

The videos showed the group marching from the city towards the drawbridge before setting off flares.
