
Kota Kinabalu: A 41-year-old man was jailed seven years and ordered to get 10 strokes of the cane for having 33.65gm of syabu.
Sessions Court Judge Amir Shah Amir Hassan, meted out the sentence to Fizlan Jamrin who pleaded guilty to the charge against him on Tuesday.
Fizlan was found having the drug at 1.30pm on Feb 23 this year by the roadside near the J. Kedai Sedco Berungis in Tuaran.
The offence under Section 12(2) of the Dangerous Drugs Act and punishable under Section 39A(2) of the same Act which provides for a jail between five years and life imprisonment, and whipping at least 10 strokes, on conviction.

Adenddey is accused of seriously assaulting one Vitalis Raining Jamit with a rock at 3.49am on July 7 this year at Kg Kibunut, Penampang.
