36 Sabahan bowlers competing in Kuching meet

Kota Kinabalu: Sabah are represented by 36 players from six teams competing in the Sarawak Hornbill Team Cup 2023 bowling tournament which started on Tuesday at the 40 AMF Synthetic lanes, Megalanes EMart at Batu Kawah, in Kuching, Sarawak.

Sabah Tenpin Bowling Association president Rozzainny Sham Talip said the five-day tournament offers a total cash prize of RM80,000 will serve as a valuable test to the Malaysian Games (Sukma) players.

“This tournament that has also attracted teams and players from abroad is very important to test the performance level of our players, especially those who will represent Sabah at the 2024 Sukma which will be held at the same venue,” he said on Tuesday.

According to him, the contingent is led by his deputy Aisyah Abdullah and she is assisted by Supiah Asim.
