On May 4, a 39-year-old woman was flung out of her car onto the opposite lane and was hit by a passing tanker, resulting in a fatal accident.
Port Dickson District Police Chief Supt Maslan bin Udin said in a statement that they’re currently investigating the crash, which happened around 8:20AM at KM26 of the Lukut-Sepang Road.

The Myvi’s door swung open unexpectedly
Maslan added that the accident involved a Perodua Myvi and a Volvo oil tanker.
Preliminary investigations found that the incident happened when the car, which was heading from Sepang to Lukut, suddenly had its right rear door swing open while going around a bend.
The woman in the back seat fell out of the car and onto the opposite lane, where she was hit by the tanker. She died on the spot from serious head injuries.
Both drivers and a baby were unharmed
The driver of the Myvi, a 34-year-old man, was uninjured. A five-month-old baby who was seated in the front was also reported to be unharmed. The oil tanker driver did not sustain any injuries.
Checks confirmed that both vehicles had valid road tax and insurance. The Myvi driver tested negative for drugs in a urine screening. Dashcam footage from the tanker has been collected to assist in the investigation.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. At this stage, no criminal elements have been found, and investigations are still ongoing.
Police are urging the public to ensure vehicle doors are securely locked, especially when carrying passengers, to avoid such tragic incidents.
