JOHOR BAHRU, Sept 9 — Police opened two investigation papers into Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin regarding his statement allegedly touching on 3R (religion, royalty and race) elements during a political gathering for the Johor by-elections.
Deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay said the police will call the Perikatan Nasional (PN) chairman on Tuesday to record his statement.
“There are two IPs (investigation papers) opened into Muhyiddin following his statements (regarding) ‘fatwa’ and the Malays losing power.
“We will call him on September 12 to record his statement,” he told reporters after inspecting the voting process for the Pulai parliamentary seat at the Maktab Sultan Abu Bakar polling centre here today.
Ayob Khan said no new IPs were opened on political leaders touching on 3R issues.
