Kota Kinabalu: The “Run for Peace” event will be making a return after a four-year lapse due to the pandemic at the Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) campus Kawad field on Sunday (July 2) at 6.30am.

Some 4,000 are expected to turn up for the six-kilometre run hosted by Soka Gakkai Association Sabah Branch which will be flagged off by Minister of Youth and Sport Datuk Ellron Angin representing Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Mohd Noor.

Kota Kinabalu together with Sandakan, Lahad Datu and Tawau are among the 23 locations in the country to stage the event.

They are also encouraged to carpool for transport to the RFP venue. In addition, there will be SDGs-related exhibitions and fun activities at the venue for the public to participate in.

The organisers urged the public to join and support the run for the sake of peace and a sustainable future.
