KUALA KUBU BHARU: The Kuala Kubu Baharu by-election on May 11 will see a four-cornered fight among Pakatan Harapan (PH), Perikatan Nasional (PN), Parti Rakyat Malaysia (PRM) and an independent candidate.

PH is represented by DAP’s Pang Sock Tao while PN has fielded Hulu Selangor Bersatu acting chief Khairul Azhari Saut. They will be facing PRM’s Hafizah Zainudin and independent candidate Nyau Ke Xin.

Their candidacy was announced by Election Commission (EC) returning officer Yuhanas Auree Kamaruddin at the Hulu Selangor district multipurpose hall and sports complex at Kampung Tun Abdul Razak, in Kuala Kubu Baharu, after nominations closed at 10am.

Parti Orang Asli Malaysia (Asli), which had earlier said it would be taking part in the by-election, announced late last night that it was pulling out of the race due to “a technical issue”.
