
The CIA-1 unit of Kurukshetra police has arrested four accused in connection with a firing incident in which a businessman suffered bullet injuries on May 31 in Shahabad.
While the main accused has been identified as Robin, a resident of Shahzadpur Patti, the police are yet to disclose the identities of the other three accused involved in the firing.
DSP (Headquarters) Sunil Kumar informed that unidentified miscreants had opened fire on Sunil Kumar alias Bunty on May 31. He suffered two bullet injuries, one on his thigh and another on his neck. An FIR was registered, and different teams, including the CIA units and Kurukshetra Police, were working on the case. On June 2, the CIA-1 arrested the main accused, Robin alias Monu.
The DSP said that the victim and the accused are both involved in the mining business, due to which there was old enmity between them. Following this, Robin allegedly hired miscreants to eliminate Sunil.
The accused had conducted a recce of Sunil prior to the incident. They used different motorcycles during the recce and while committing the crime. The weapon used in the crime will be recovered during the remand.
