
Kota Kinabalu: A total of 40 young golfers took part in the Mgm Mini Golf Master held at the Par 3, Likas Driving Range here on Sunday.
Organising chairman Ali Ariffin said the main aim of the tournament jointly organised by Alpha Sports Academy, ACE Academy and Shank Junkies was to develop junior golfers aged six to 12.
“We are aiming to give these young golfers more exposure in preparation for the US Kids golf tournament scheduled to be held here in Sabah later this year,” he said.
Meanwhile, the top three winners in each of the categories held were Sharifah Teh Khalilshah Syed Nurul Muntahar, Hana Sofia Hazrel, Sheldon Noah Yew Shao Jun (category A), Muhd Yahya Ummar Ariff, Thania Tamira Rao, Dawson Lee (category B), Levienus Liew, Nur Erynna Shakayra Razali, Harish Haitollah (category C), and Xander Kong was the only winner in category D.
