
Kota Kinabalu: Sabah’s Nurul Amirah Amirul won the girls’ graded title in the 41st Malaysia International Open Bowling Championship 2023 held at the Sunway Mega Lanes, Petaliing Jaya on Saturday.
The 19-year-old accumulated a total score of 1546 well ahead of second place Nurul Aisyah Salleh (1533) from Sukma Johor and Sukma Selangor’s Intan Nor Edryana (1526) in third.
“I’m very happy and grateful as this is my first podium finish at international level.
“The lane was not easy and I had to stay focused throughout. I only managed one high game and needed to maintain spare as much as possible in other games.
