45 students on study visit to Ranau Police

RANAU: Forty-five Form 6 students from SMK Lohan, Ranau visited IPD Ranau in an awareness programme on road safety and crime prevention here recently.

During the visit, talks on Traffic Rules were conducted by Inspector Muhamad Syairul bin Azmi from the Ranau IPD Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division while a Crime Prevention Talk was delivered by S.I Hermawati binti Ali from the Ranau IPD Crime Prevention and Community Safety Division.

In addition, a briefing on Volunteer Smartphone Patrol (VSP) was also held as well as exhibitions from the Ranau IPD Criminal Investigation Division, Ranau IPD Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division, Ranau IPD Commercial Crime Investigation Division and also the Ranau National Anti-Drug Agency (AADK).

The programme ran smoothly in a harmonious atmosphere and PDRM is always committed to helping curb social problems and increase road safety awareness among the younger generation.

Meanwhile, located around Jalan Bundu Tuhan, Kundasang and Pekan Ranau, the Ranau IPD Commercial Crime Investigation Division conducted Ops Vulture which involved taking down posters and banners of unlicensed moneylenders from on lamp posts.

Some 141 posters and banners were taken down. The confiscated items were handed over to the Ranau District Council for further action.
