Newcastle United are scouting Monaco youngster Benoit Badiashile, according to reports.
The Newcastle Chronicle says Toon sent scouts to watch the 18-year-old centre-back in the 2-1 loss to Bordeaux on Sunday.
Badiashile played 75 minutes of the contest.
The Magpies face heavy competition to sign the prodigious youngster, with Chelsea, Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund also in attendance at Nouvaeu Stade de Bordeaux.
