BEIJING: An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 jolted South Sandwich Islands region at 0514 GMT on Monday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said, reported Xinhua.
The epicentre with a depth of 87.6 km, was initially determined to be at 55.93 degrees south latitude and 27.55 degrees west longitude. - Bernama
