HONG KONG: An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.1 hit Northern Sumatra, Indonesia, at 0407 GMT on Thursday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said, reported Xinhua.

The epicentre, with a depth of 10 km, was initially determined to be at 0.32 degrees north latitude and 98.70 degrees east longitude. - Bernama
