A 5.8 magnitude earthquake struck near the southern coast of western Honshu, Japan, on Saturday, according to the GFZ.

A ⁠magnitude 5.83 earthquake ​struck near ‌the ​southern coast of ​western Honshu ⁠in ‌Japan ​on ​Saturday, the ​German Research Centre ‌for Geosciences said.

The quake was ⁠at ‌a depth of ​59 ​km (36 ​miles), ‌GFZ ​said.
