Works Minister, Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi said drivers can soon pay tolls on five highways using credit and debit cards.
The five roads are:
1. Sungai Besi Expressway
2. Ampang-Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway
3. New Pantai Expressway
4. Guthrie Corridor Expressway
5. Penang Bridge
Nanta also said the open payment system would be implemented on all five roads by September 2023. A proof-of-concept (POC) assessment would be held in October 2023 before it could be implemented on all highways nationwide.
If the system proves successful, more highways could switch to the open payment system. So, everyone please help make sure the system works!
