The Spring/Summer 2026 season, which marks fashion’s “great reset”, unveils sleek and stylish accessories from the newly-installed designers that have taken over luxury brands like Balenciaga, Celine and Maison Margiela. While some have taken to reworking bestselling archival bags, others have introduced entirely new designs that are fit for the modern woman’s wardrobe.

Maison Margiela Box Bag
Can’t decide if you prefer a structured bag or a slouchy one? Maison Margiela designer Glenn Martens has a solution: get the Box Bag, a new design that he unveiled at his Spring/Summer 2026 show. The Maison Margiela bag, crafted from soft leather, has the silhouette of a hobo shoulder bag—except that the bottom is shaped like, well, a box. That rectangular shape is achieved through reinforced edges created with a specialised Thermoforming technique. Technical craftsmanship aside, Maison Margiela’s Box Bag is also defined by its use of the brand’s iconic four white stitches instead of a logo. This season, there’s also an edition of the bag that is embellished with gothic metal hardware.
Celine Little Halfmoon bag
With his debut Celine collection, creative director Michael Rider may have done the impossible: designing a bag that works both in the day as well as in the evening. Rider added the Halfmoon bag—a sleek, east-west flap bag with soft, rounded edges—to Celine’s Soft Triomphe line. The smaller Little Halfmoon bag is particularly alluring: just roomy enough for your essentials, it can be worn as an everyday bag with its adjustable shoulder strap. Or you can remove the strap and you’ll have an elegant clutch, held closed by Celine’s signature, gold-tone Triomphe magnetic clasp. Besides styles in smooth, shiny lambskin, Celine has also teased the Little Halfmoon bag in crocodile leather. That would make quite the statement.
Loewe Amazona 180 bag
For their very first Loewe bag, creative directors Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez decided to rework a classic: the Amazona handbag, the boxy yet soft top-handle bag that was introduced in 1975 and later revived in 2021, during Jonathan Anderson’s tenure. McCollough and Hernandez gave the bag the kind of fun twist you would expect from the former Proenza Schouler designers; the new Amazona 180 boasts just one handle and is crafted from even softer calfskin leather, with a subtle shine to it. You don’t have to worry about that open-bag design, though: the Loewe Amazona 180 bag features a hidden magnetic closure that keeps the main compartment secure. This season, the bag comes in the bold, primary colours that defined McCollough and Hernandez’s debut Loewe collection.
Chanel 25 Mini bag
Since it launched in 2025, the Chanel 25 bag has quickly become the go-to bag for It-girls: Dua Lipa, Nicole Kidman, Lana Del Rey, Charli XCX, Olivia Dean, Blackpink’s Jennie and Margot Robbie are just some of the stylish celebrities who have toted the quilted leather hobo bag in their off-duty sightings. Now Robbie stars in a new campaign flaunting the Chanel 25 Mini bag—the perfect size, if you ask us—which comes in an array of colours, like pink, burgundy and even orange. You’ll also be spoilt for choice in terms of materials: besides its usual smooth or grained leather options, Chanel is offering the Chanel 25 Mini bag in shiny calfskin leather, crinkled calfskin leather, canvas and denim, making one of the best new luxury bags.
Balenciaga Le City bag
Mary-Kate Olsen’s favourite 2000s It-bag has a new look and feel. We’re talking about the Balenciaga Le City bag, of course, which was originally designed by Nicolas Ghèsquiere and formerly known as the Balenciaga Motorcycle bag. Two decades later, Balenciaga’s current designer, Pierpaolo Piccioli, is giving the Le City bag a contemporary update—making it lighter, for one, and introducing new designs in suede. The new styles also come with details that you would have seen on the original Motorcycle bag too, like hand-braided leather handles with cotton laces, and rectangular mirrors (a contrast from the heart-shaped ones that the bag sported during Demna’s era).
