RANAU: About 500 Warisan's Karanaan Branch members led by former Deputy Division Chief Awasi Ghani have declared leaving the party and joining Parti Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (PGRS), here, on Friday.
Citing the instability within the party as their main reason for departure, Awasi thanked Warisan President Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal for his guidance and support all this while.
“However, it is with profound regret that we are announcing that several of Warisan Karanaan leaders, including myself, have decided to move to another party,” he said.
Sabah Warisan’s party leadership has been notified about their intention to exit Warisan and join PGRS, he added.
