
The enforcement wing of the Municipal Corporation (MC) on Monday carried out a drive against unauthorised vending, encroachments and violations in various parts of the city. A total of 53 challans were issued for various violations.
As part of the special day-long drive conducted on the directions of MC Commissioner Amit Kumar, enforcement teams removed approximately 25 unauthorised coconut vendors operating without permission. During the drive, various items, including tarpaulins, tables and weighing scales, were seized.
The teams also removed seven unauthorised fish sellers operating from the Transport Area, Sector 26. Six vehicles were impounded at the Sector 28 motor market over violations. In the evening, the enforcement teams reached the furniture market in Sector 34 to ensure compliance with civic regulations and maintain public convenience.
The drive was conducted peacefully and was part of the MC’s efforts to keep public spaces free from encroachments, ensure orderly urban management and maintain cleanliness and civic discipline across the city.
