54 new cases in Sabah

Kota Kinabalu: Sabah’s Covid-19 caseload increased slightly to 54 on Wednesday from 47 the day earlier.

Sabah’s Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said the increase corresponded to a higher positivity rate which was 3.68 per cent on Wednesday compared to 3.07 per cent on Tuesday.

Kota Kinabalu topped the list with 13 cases, followed by Penampang (7), Tuaran (7), Keningau (5), Papar (4), Sandakan (4) and Tawau (3).

“Eleven districts did not record any new infections,” he said Wednesday.

He said 52 out of 54 cases were category one and two infections, while one case was in category four. No deaths or new clusters were identified.
