The Koom Kalan police busted a cycle theft gang with the arrest of four of its members and recovered 55 stolen bicycles, along with the Mahindra Bolero pickup used in the crimes, officials said.
They said members of the gang are facing 41 criminal cases. Industrial Area-A Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Inderjit Singh said Manmohit Singh from Sangowal village had lodged a complaint on May 14, alleging four youngsters in a Mahindra Bolero pickup had stolen 35 cardboard boxes containing packed cycles from his factory truck near Bhaini Sahib village. A case was registered at the Koom Kalan police station.
The police have arrested Tarun Kapoor alias Lucky, Harvinder Singh alias Honey, Surjit Singh alias Giani, and Shivam alias Kala.
