Former Ajax youth chief Brian Tevreden is delighted seening Juan Familia-Castillo back in Amsterdam.

The wing-back has joined Ajax on-loan from Chelsea for the season.

And Tevreden told Ajax Showtime: "Juan has done well at Chelsea.

"He skipped teams there and was also known as a great talent within the program. Of course, it is difficult to break through there. He did train with the A-squad.

"It didn't turn out bad for Juan. He has become even stronger physically and technically by training at a high level, with high intensity.

"I think his future is on left back.

"There are few left backs with all those qualities at the moment. He is certainly a boy with potential."

Tevreden added: "I don't see Juan's return to Ajax as a sign of failure. If Juan hadn't become a good player, Ajax would have also no effort to get him back."
