Arsenal boss Unai Emery praised Mesut Ozil's performance against Liverpool during their Carabao Cup defeat at Anfield.
The 31-year-old was instrumental in the visitors' second, third and fourth goals with his assist for Ainsley Maitland-Niles nothing short of sensational.
Emery said, "We can be proud of our work but not the result. Mesut Ozil is back helping us with his quality and his spirit. He played with good spirit, quality.
"It was in the plan to replace him, we had spoken about that before."
Speaking of whether the midfielder could be involved on the weekend, he said: "Yes because we play on Saturday and in my mind Ozil is a possibility to use."
