Arsenal hero Steve Bould is happy he quit as assistant coach last summer.

The 56-year-old spent a large part of his playing career over in north London and became a key part of the first-team setup under Arsene Wenger.

The Daily Mail say the former Gunners No2 is glad he left the senior setup to join the academy.

It's claimed that he felt he was underused by manager Unai Emery and, as a result, had no grievances with walking away.

Bould isn't the only person to lose their job at Arsenal in recent times following a planned restructuring behind the scenes.
