Bruno Fernandes retains hope of leaving Sporting CP.

The Daily Mail says Fernandes still has the ambition to leave Sporting despite having signed a new deal.

The 25-year-old has agreed a new contract that will keep him at the club until 2023, which includes a release clause of 100million (85m).

However, this new deal does not change Fernandes' ambitions to leave and the new contract came about following and agreement that was already stipulated at the end of last season.

The only thing which has changed is that the attacking midfielder is now the highest paid payer in the Sporting squad, after he signed a new deal worth 2m (1.7m) per season.

Manchester United and Tottenham have been linked with the player as both clubs are looking at strengthening their squads at his position.
