The Temerloh District Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) recently took to their Facebook page to seek information about a 5-year-old boy whose family had accidentally left him behind at a restaurant in Temerloh, Pahang, on Sunday (July 27).
They explained that they were looking for the boy’s parents while taking him to the Temerloh police station to ensure his safety.
They wrote, “Please contact us if you recognise the boy as shown in the video, to help find his guardians or parents. He was found at a restaurant in Temerloh, Pahang, around 10pm, in good condition and in the clothes seen in the video. He is not good at communicating, is about 5 years old and is now at the Temerloh police station.”
“We request the help of anyone who recognises the child, to present themselves at the Temerloh police station.”
His family had driven for an hour and a half before realising his disappearance
According to a report by Sin Chew Daily, the boy’s family travelled to the restaurant in Temerloh in 2 cars. The boy was allegedly supposed to have left the restaurant with his uncle, but he did not get into the car.
“It was not until the family arrived in Gambang (Kuantan) that they realised the boy was not in the car,” shared Temerloh District Police Chief ACP Mazlan Hassan.
Upon realising the boy’s disappearance at around 11:30pm, his parents contacted the Temerloh District Police Headquarters (IPD) and arrived at the Temerloh police station to pick up the boy at 12:40am (Monday – July 28).
