
HONG KONG, Jan 16 — An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.3 jolted the Izu Islands, Japan, at 04:49:52 GMT on Monday, the US Geological Survey said.
According to Xinhua, the epicentre, with a depth of 409.088 km, was initially determined to be at 29.0005 degrees north latitude and 139.3466 degrees east longitude.
