Long Pasia: Sipitang MP Datuk Matbali Musah highlighted the need to upgrade the Mendulong-Meligan and Meligan Long Pasia roads, a distance of 140km at the Dewan Rakyat.
He said apart from the road, the river route (low level crossing) to several areas, including Long Pasia, also needs upgrading.
Matbali said the project is urgent so residents can enjoy the meaning of independence which has now reached 60 years.
Long Pasia residents complained they are tired of the existing road conditions, especially when it rains.
