
Kota Kinabalu: Sabah is still one of the states that records the highest number of thalassaemia patients in the country and needs more blood supply.
Likas Women and Children Hospital (HWKKL) Transfusion Medicine specialist Dr Jamaludin Mail said current blood supply for the State’s blood bank is still at low level and needs to be replenished.
“60pc from our blood supply in the State’s blood bank is used for thalassaemia patients.
