623 undocumented Filipinos deported from Sabah to Zamboanga

SANDAKAN: A total of 623 undocumented Filipinos were deported from the Papar and Sandakan Immigration Detention Depots to Zamboanga City, Philippines, on Thursday.

Sabah Immigration Director Datuk Sh Sitti Saleha Habib Yussof said the group included adults and children between 11 months and 79 years.

Of the total, 483 were adult men, 80 adult women, 35 boys and 25 girls.

The deportation was carried out in cooperation with the Philippine Embassy, particularly for travel document processing.

From January 2025 to date, 3,993 Filipinos have been repatriated via Sabah’s exit points out of a total of 4,834 undocumented migrants returned to their home countries.
