6th Honda CR-V Launched In Malaysia, 3 Turbo Variants, e:HEV RS Flagship

The 6th generation Honda CR-V has arrived in Malaysia as the year 2023 comes to a close.

Order books for the all-new Honda CR-V have been open for a month and now the SUV has been launched in Malaysia. Four variants will be available at launch with three turbo-powered models (grades S, E and V) joined by an all-new 2.0L hybrid e:HEV RS grade as the top spec model. This is the first hybrid CR-V model and the first time the CR-V will be positioned as the flagship model for Honda Malaysia given that the new Accord will not be launched in Malaysia.

The Honda CR-V has a special place in Honda Malaysia’s line-up. The 2nd generation model was the first locally-assembled car to roll out of the Pekan plant in 2003 and the CR-V has managed to maintain its no.1 spot in the segment for non-national brands.

In fact, the outgoing 5th generation model managed to still sell 64,000 units in Malaysia despite stiff competition and a challenging economic situation. It is anticipated that this 6th generation model will maintain that no.1 spot in the segment for non-national brands with 1,000 units sold monthly on average being anticipated.

There are 5 colours available on all 4 variants of the new CR-V – Ignite Red Metallic, Canyon River Blue Metallic (new), Meteoroid Gray Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, and Lunar Silver Metallic.
