The Los Angeles-based rescue, Wings of Rescue, has carried out a major operation to save hundreds of homeless animals in the USA.

The rescue team stepped in following a request from the Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care and Control (DACC).

Officers had received a report about a large number of animals being kept in unsanitary conditions in a house.

A grim discovery

On arrival, rescuers discovered more than 700 cats and dogs living in deplorable conditions. The team from the Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care and Control (DACC) was overwhelmed by the sheer number of animals and couldn't house them in their kennels for an extended period.

A solution was urgently needed to free up space. They contacted Wings of Rescue to arrange transport for over 100 adoptable animals to other shelters that could take them in. This, in turn, made room at the DACC shelter for the animals seized from the squalid house.

A new life

On 24th March, thanks to the Wings of Rescue team, 100 animals were flown to their new homes in Chicago. Transporting animals to other states or countries is essential.

These flights safely transport shelter animals to loving families, giving them a second chance at happiness. We applaud the charity's work in flying animals in need to their new forever homes.
