Graham Potter was delighted with his first win as Brighton manager.

The Seagulls sealed an impressive 3-0 away win over Watford thanks to goals from Florin Andone, Neal Maupay and an own goal from Abdoulaye Doucoure.

Potter said: "Of course we are very happy with the result and the performance.

"I thought all the players were fantastic.

"They tried their best to do what we asked them to do. We weren't perfect, of course. I would not expect that.

"But it probably rewarded what we have done as a collective unit for the last few weeks.

"The support behind the goal was amazing as well so it is a positive day for us and a great start."
