Brighton midfielder Dale Stephens admits Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy was the difference for Saturday's defeat.
Vardy kept his place at the top of the Premier League goalscoring charts by firing home from the penalty spot at Falmer Stadium to make sure of Leicester's 2-0 win with his 12th goal of the campaign.
The Foxes striker had earlier set up the opener, charging clear on the counter-attack before rolling the ball across for Ayoze Perez to fire home.
"It was no surprise, we knew he would be a threat," Stephens told the Brighton Argus.
"He got in a couple of times and he punished us towards the end.
"We probably didn't play well enough to shut him out and get anything out of the game."
