Anderlecht's appointment of Vincent Kompany as player-manager is proving a winner for the club's merchandise department.

HLN says Anderlecht have already sold 4,000 Joma shirts after just over one week of them being on sale.

That is already half of what the Purple & White sold for the entire last season.

Most supporters are naturally choosing the number four - which is what Manchester City icon Kompany will wear next season.

Anderlecht and Joma hope to sell 12 to 15,000 shirts in total this campaign.
