
A young boy became an orphan overnight after his parents were tragically killed in a hit-and-run accident in Sepang yesterday (Sept 28).
According to The Star, the accident occurred when the boy’s parents crashed into the rear of an unidentified lorry while riding a motorcycle.

Although their names were not revealed, the male victim was a civil service technician in his 40s, while his wife was a private university employee in her 30s.
Both died at the scene due to severe head and leg injuries.
Police looking for lorry driver
Sepang district police chief Assistant Commissioner Norhizam Bahaman said the boy’s parents were travelling from Dengkil towards Putrajaya along Jalan Persiaran Timur around 5pm.
Initial investigations showed that they arrived at KM1.5 of the road, their motorcycle crashed into the rear of an unidentified lorry.

Norhizam added that according to witnesses at the scene, the lorry fled the area immediately following the collision.
Police also found that the male victim possessed a valid motorcycle licence.
An investigation under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless driving causing death has been launched and police are now looking for the lorry driver.
