  1. Levain Boulangerie & Patisserie (Pork-free)

You may find more than just pastries and sweets with French influences at Levain Boulangerie & Patisserie. They specialise in pastries with a Japanese influence as well! Croissants, chocolate danishes, and chocolate log bread are some of their hallmark pastries, all of which are freshly baked every day in their traditional stone oven. 2. Lachér Patisserie (Halal)

A French-inspired online cake shop, Lachér Patisserie combines quality, freshness, and convenience to serve classic premium cakes and beautiful French entremets. Their philosophy is straightforward: to make French desserts more widely available, and they succeeded in doing just that. You can choose from their individual desserts, called petit gâteaux, which come in an Afternoon Treat or Teatime Set, or you can choose complete cakes or tarts.

3. JCL Patisserie (Halal)

Entremets, tarts, cakes, choux, and various other pastries are some of their offerings. Orders must be placed three days in advance, and they are open to customization and collaboration if you have a specific idea in mind. Make this shop your go-to the next time you have a yearning for French flavours. They have a variety of tarts, including their best-selling tarte aux fraises, as well as palmiers and kouign ammans.

6. Whip & Whisk KL (Halal)

7. The Hyacinth Cafe (Halal)

Yani Othman (@thekitchenguardian), a well-liked attorney-turned-baker, opened The Hyacinth Cafe. The Hyacinth Cafe (which includes a studio for baking classes!) was able to be opened in Desa Melawati as a result of the popularity of her baked goods, which initially began as a small business from home. While the cafe’s rotating menu of sweet treats includes favourites like the Victoria Sandwich, Pandan Gula Melaka cake, Rose Pistachio Cake, and lemon loaf, there are also a number of savoury dishes you can tuck into at The Hyacinth Cafe, including quiches, steak pies, croissant sandwiches, and even Greek moussaka!

8. Burrow (Halal)

Burrow is the most recent addition to KL’s numerous amazing cafés, and it has been steadily gaining prominence since its opening in January 2021. And if there’s anything you should buy from them, it should be their coveted caneles! Every mouthful offers complete enjoyment because it is baked every day. With their Maple Pecan canelés, they’ve also elevated this traditional delight. Enjoy this divine pastry, which has been aged with organic maple syrup and Madagascar vanilla beans and is topped with butter-toasted pecans and a light Chantilly cream.
