ONLY one in 10 Filipinos believe the Marcos administration has done enough to address alleged anomalies in government flood control projects, according to the latest National Momentum Survey released on July 28, 2026.
The survey found that only 10.4 percent of respondents said the Marcos administration had done enough to address the alleged flood control scandal. In contrast, 43 percent said the government had taken action but that it was insufficient, while 41.2 percent said it had done nothing at all. Another 3.9 percent said they were unsure, and 1.4 percent declined to answer.
The survey was conducted about a year after Marcos vowed to ensure accountability over alleged irregularities in flood control projects.
Dissatisfaction also cut across political affiliations. Even among respondents identified as supporters of Marcos, 46 percent said the administration’s efforts had fallen short, compared with 42 percent who believed enough had been done.
By region, respondents in Mindanao were the most critical, with 61 percent saying the government had taken no genuine action to hold those responsible accountable.
The survey was conducted by Momentum Research from July 13 to 16, 2026, among 1,438 respondents nationwide. It has a ±2.6 percentage point margin of error at 95-percent confidence level.
