The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 with S Pen has passed SIRIM’s certification

After launching the Galaxy Note 10 in Malaysia, it appears that Samsung is bringing its latest flagship tablet to our local market very soon. The Galaxy Tab S6 with the model number SM-T865 has just passed our SIRIM certification.

From the listing, we can tell that it will be a WiFi + 4G LTE enabled device and it supports a variety of bands including 850MHz, 900MHz, 1800MHz, 2100MHz, 2300MHz and 2600MHz. The device also comes with an S Pen that has Bluetooth connectivity.

To recap, the Tab S6 features a 10.5″ WQXGA (2560×1600) Super AMOLED display and it has a quad-speaker setup that’s tuned by AKG. The flagship tablet is running on a Snapdragon 855 processor and it can be configured with up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB of storage which can be expanded via a microSD card.

The new S Pen has support for Air actions. For the first time on the Galaxy Tab series, you can now attach the S Pen at the back of the tablet and it also charges wirelessly via a magnetic dock.

The Galaxy Tab S6 is also the first Samsung tablet to feature a dual-camera setup at the rear which consists of a 13MP f/2.2 main camera and 5MP f/2.0 ultra-wide-angle shooter. Powering the device is a 7,040mAh battery that is rated to last up to 15 hours of video playback.

In the US, the Galaxy Tab S6 is priced from US$649 for the base 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model. We don’t have details on the local pricing just yet but as a reference, the previous Galaxy Tab S4 was launched in Malaysia at RM3,099.
