Bayern Munich chief exec Karl-Heinz Rummenigge hailed victory over Tottenham as historic.
Bayern thrashed their Champions League opponents 7-2 in London last night.
Rummenigge declared: "Our team has written some history. I would like to congratulate the coaching team with Niko (Kovac) on top and also the entire team.
"That was incredible, what we experienced.
"We often have the comparisons between Bundesliga and Premier League. And today, at least we at Bayern Munich have proven on a lasting basis that we are perfectly capable of defeating a top-class Premier League team."
