Nine foreign men remanded for four days in Seremban over an online part-time job scam syndicate targeting overseas victims.

SEREMBAN: Nine foreign men have been remanded for four days to aid investigations into an online part-time job scam.

The suspects, aged between 28 and 46, were arrested during a raid on a house in the district.

The operation was conducted following public tip-offs and intelligence gathered by the state Commercial Crime Investigation Department.

Initial investigations revealed the suspects were believed to be part of a syndicate promoting non-existent online part-time jobs targeting victims overseas.

Police also seized nine computer sets, a laptop, 32 mobile phones and 55 SIM cards believed to have been used in the fraudulent activities.

The case is being investigated under Section 420 of the Penal Code.
