KENINGAU: Some 99 per cent of drug addicts in the State, especially in the district, take syabu (synthetic drugs) that are easily available, said Assistant Minister of Works, Datuk Robert Tawik.

“According to the records of the National Anti-Drug Agency (AADK), synthetic drugs are stimulants that can cause a person to lose control and become aggressive.

“We hear of many heartbreaking stories involving drug abuse,” he said while officiating at the High Risk Areas (KBT) Parenting Workshop Programme here.

His speech was read by his representative, who is also Keningau District Councillor, Haji Yazid Haji Hasnan Tawik.
