Manchester United great Rio Ferdinand has warned rivals should fear Manchester City following their Community Shield triumph on Sunday.
Pep Guardiola's side kicked off the season with a penalty shootout win over Liverpool after the game finished 1-1.
And Ferdinand has heaped praise on the squad and culture Guardiola has built at the club.
"They've won the game without [Aymeric] Laporte, Fernandinho, and [Sergio] Aguero, three of their most important players last season,' said Ferdinand on BT Sport.
"It shows you the depth of this squad. You need the depth and quality to sustain title challenges and cup competitions.
"That's the scary thing for other teams challenging.
"That's the culture he's created. There's no days off. Any game they play, you have to be at full tilt. That's only a positive thing for Man City."
