Samsung Galaxy A01 is officially in Malaysia for RM449

Samsung has quietly released a new phone in Malaysia - the Samsung Galaxy A01. Priced at RM449, this new device is aimed at those who are looking for an entry-level phone.

The Galaxy A01 comes with a 5.7-inch HD+ display and has a waterdrop notch - or as Samsung calls it, the Infinity-V display. It is powered by an octa-core processor and is fixed with one configuration for the Malaysian market - 2GB RAM and 16GB storage.

Camera-wise, the device houses a dual-camera setup. It comes with a 13MP main lens with f/2.2 aperture and another 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. There's also a 3,000mAh battery that charges via a microUSB port.

The Galaxy A01 will come in three colours - Black, Blue and Red. It can be purchased at all Samsung Galaxy Experience stores and authorised resellers.
