Hong Leong Bank will be converting all Hong Leong GSC Mastercard credit cards to Visa, effective 22 April 2020. From this date onwards, all GSC credit cards by Hong Leong will be Visa-branded; this applies to both Platinum and Gold variations of the card.

“Kindly be informed that the GSC Mastercard Credit Cards will be discontinued with effect from 22 April 2020,” said Hong Leong Bank in a statement. Any GSC Mastercard credit card applications received or approved after 22 April will automatically be converted to the GSC Visa Credit Card – including card replacement applications.

Existing Hong Leong GSC Mastercard credit cardholders will be included in a Card Conversion Plan, which will replace your credit card with a Visa-branded one. This will be done in batches and you may continue to use your existing GSC Mastercard credit card until further notice. Cardholders will be notified with more details via the Hong Leong Bank website or electronic direct mailer.

According to Hong Leong Bank, there will be no changes to the features of the GSC Credit Card. The GSC Credit Card by Hong Leong offers cardholders RM6 off GSC movie tickets every day (except Wednesday) and up to 3x GSC Reward Points for GSC, overseas, online, and retail spend. New Platinum cardholders enjoy 10 GSC adult tickets upon card approval, whereas new Gold cardholders enjoy 5 GSC adult tickets upon card approval.
