Malaysia appears to be making good progress as the Ministry of Health has reported yet another drop in daily new COVID-19 cases. At the moment, there are 54 new cases which brings the total number of confirmed cases to 5,305.
Unfortunately, there are two deaths reported today which brings the total COVID-19 fatalities to 88. Meanwhile, there are 135 new recoveries and there are now 3,102 cases that have recovered and discharged.

The current COVID-19 recovery rate in Malaysia is currently 58.5% while the mortality rate is 1.66%. There are currently 2,115 cases that are still receiving treatment with 49 cases in ICU. 26 cases currently require respiratory support.
Today marks the 3rd day this week with less than 100 daily cases. The number of daily recoveries have exceed new cases for 6 consecutive days.
